Many management companies charge guests separately for linen and cleaning. While this may seem transparent, those additional charges increase the total cost of a stay. Higher overall prices can discourage bookings, reduce occupancy, and, because commissions are often calculated on the total booking value, can also increase the amount paid in management fees.
